Exploring the secret of Cardiff’s first underground supper club

Walking into the dining room of Cardiff’s latest food venture, it is the smell of fresh and rich ingredients which first awakes the senses. Diners are guided into a room adorned with candles and a crystal-decorated table as the centrepiece.
As a gentleman relieves guests of their coats and shows people to their seats, visitors are offered a cocktail of their choosing. However, there is a twist in the tale. This is no ordinary restaurant. It is the grand opening of Cardiff’s first ever secret supper club.

A taste of the middle-east in Cardiff with belly dancing

When given the challenge to go belly dancing I couldn’t help but scoff a little. This was going to be a piece of cake. Whenever I have seen belly dancing in restaurants or on holiday I have always thought how easy it looked. Surely it is just a case of shaking your hips, waving your arms above your head and showing your belly a bit. Oh, how wrong I was.

It is a brave idea to create a film based on one of the most renowned writers of all time and entirely overshadow him with his wife.  However it is a decision Michael Hoffman makes to his credit in The Last Station.
Without the hysterical, dramatic and tempestuous Sofya Tolstoy (Helen Mirren), The Last Station would be severely lacking the passion which Tolstoy himself conveyed in his world-famous literature.

A finalist in Miss University held a ladies night at a Cardiff exercise studio yesterday to help raise fund for a children’s charity.
Emma Peters, a masters student at University of Wales Institute Cardiff, is raising funds for The Joshua Foundation, a charity which creates life experiences for children suffering with terminal cancer.
